I just read an article about an internal anti-rape device, which looks like a blown up condom with spikes inside (did anyone else think of vagina dentana?). The article details how this is really useful in third world countries, namly Africa, where rape is rampant. They said that it’s a really controversial device because the device can permanently damage a man’s penis and it can only be removed by medical professionals.
I have to say, I am conflicted about this device.
On one hand, the rapists fucking deserve it. If you’re going to rape, you should get horribly painful barbs in your penis. But on the other hand, without seeking medical treatment, of which would be embarassing and and criminalizing, men could die of infection. Arguably, these men deserve it. But we’d be killing people in the process.
I know no one reads this blog yet but, thoughts?
