I had one of the most inspiring culinary experiences on Saturday. We went to Chris and Christine’s (our friend’s apartment, not a restaurant) and I had the absolute best dinner I’ve ever had. I mean even better than Trotter’s.
On the menu:
- Mussels in a Riesling cream sauce
- Fresh spaghetti with butter and caviar
- Seasonal red beet soup with creme fraiche and watercress
- Braised femur bones (bone marrow) with an oxtail marmalade, toast
- Fresh salmon (they had flown in) with a raddichio, endive, frisee and fig salad
- Grilled ribeye, fresh Alaskan King crab and mashed potatoes
Each course was perfectly matched with different kinds of wine.
