“I think they are pushing it a little too much. To what extent are we just little lemmings that they just throw down a track and we’re crash-test dummies? I mean, this is our lives.”
Australian luger HANNAH CAMPBELL-PEGG, reacting on Thursday evening after she nearly lost control during a training run on the Olympic track at the Whistler Sliding Centre. The track has been criticized as too fast by lugers; more than a dozen athletes have crashed during training runs, including Georgian Nodar Muaritashvili, who died earlier today.
This is so sad.
