I have a true passion and undying love for gastronomy.
I'm a founder of CulinaryCulture, a site devoted to serious and aspiring foodies. I dabble in custom architectural and interior design from time to time. I have a couple of other exciting projects in the works, so stay tuned!

I'm also married to a rather interesting man, who has started companies like Threadless.com.

  1. Chicago winters are brutal. We’re talking about frigid temperatures paired with bone chilling winds that leave your skin wind-burnt and dried out. I’m glad I don’t live downtown anymore.. getting anywhere would be an adventure. Coming to an intersection, I sometime thought I’d get blown away.. and lets not even get into the fear of falling ice. I lived right across the street from Lake Michigan and the winds that came off of it would making dodging melting falling ice a battlefield.

All that makes me grateful for my now cozy hundred-year-old house, equipped with indoor and outdoor wood burning fireplaces, dozens of thick blankets, a freezer stashed with homemade soup, a hot tub and a sauna.

Well anyway, so yeah its winter and that also means that I’ve sold my soul to the gym. Yup you’ll find me there multiples times a week, getting my butt kicked. Its still much more appealing than roughing it out in the cold.

Jacob and I were thinking about going to Vegas for New Year’s. But what would New Year’s be without drinking champagne in front of Buckingham Fountain with dozens of friends?
